AJ Jewell - the ex-fiance of Real Housewives of Atlanta Kandi Burruss was killed in a fight outside a strip club in Georgia yesterday.

Ashley (A.J.) Jewell suffered severe head injuries during the brawl outside the Body Tap Club. He was rushed to Piedmont Hospital, where he later died.

Jewell, the father of six children, was the co-owner of the club.

Grammy-winning songwriter Kandi Burruss, 33, posted on her Twitter page about the death.

"I could never in a million years imagine this happening," posted Burruss, a former member of the R&B group Xscape.

"im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk," she posted early this morning.

"i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone," she wrote.

Burruss started dating Jewell in early 2009 and the couple got engaged to be married. He made several appearances with Burruss on the Bravo reality show.

They called off their engagement in August. He moved out of Burruss' Atlanta home last month, according to reports.
